The fun starts after lunch on Saturday, with a weekend of action-packed events. Some activities include archery and various team-building events.
The fee of $56.45 per person includes 3 meals (dinner on Saturday, and breakfast and lunch on Sunday), lodging, and all activities. Sleeping accommodations are heated cabins with beds but no bedding. Girls should bring a little extra money if they want to buy a souvenir in the camp shop. The fee does NOT include badges which I’d expect to cost about $3 each at the camp store.
If you’re interested, sign-up begins at our next Evanston Leader Meeting (Thursday, Jan. 21st, 7:30-9 pm, St. Nicholas Church Oldershaw Hall; more details in upcoming email) on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Bring a check for a deposit of $10 per person (girl or adult) to the meeting. The check should be made payable to GS Troop 745. After signing up, you can also send your check to Elizabeth O’Connor, 1120 Grant Street, Evanston, IL, 60201.
I will need to know (1) how many people are attending; (2) the number of girls versus moms; (3) number of dads attending, if any.
If your numbers change as we get closer to the date of the event, I’ll do my best to accommodate the changes. Note that it will be difficult to accommodate last-minute additions of dads (since they need to sleep in a separate cabin from the girls). The balance of the payment will be due March 15.
