Cadettes and Seniors

Take part in the U.S. Grant Pilgrimage organized every year by the Boy Scout Blackhawk Council. This year is the 55th anniversary of this event.

Spend Friday night in platform tents in Girl Scout Camp McCormick in Stillman Valley about 15 minutes southwest of Rockford.

Up early Saturday and drive into Galena for the day’s activities. The Pilgrimage activities start at 9 and conclude about 1:30 with a parade. Follow the historic trail and tour many of the historic buildings in Galena. Compete in optional events like the Bucket Brigade or canoe races.

Afterwards there is time to roam the streets of Galena and shop. Stay in town for dinner on your own. Then return to camp. Leave Sunday morning on your own schedule.

registration forms are being e-mailed. or contact Carol S. at V7_intcomamb@gsvista.org
