o         Facilitated by Denise U to commemorate Thinking Day  (copies available in troop folders and web page archives).

o         Mary Ann - council shop manager- spoke of store, availability of items ( both regular and new (scrap booking materials) items with GS-IL Crossroads council logo will be collector’s items due to new merged council changes; took under advisement requests from present members to have store in the area, explained frequent buyer cards/punched with cost of items $200 bought= $15 free items; double punch days; items must be purchased in store,  can order through webpage, e-mail or regular mail
and have shipped. turn around time of 2 -3 business days.

·          Need two (2) Representatives (aka: Delegates)

·          Corporate Meeting will be 2-24-2007. Still need 3 more representatives, older girls (14-18 can come as rep)

o         New Council Name

·          New Council name as of 10-1-2007 will be Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Refer to area of webpage for more details.   GSUSA took 309 councils and merged them down to 104.

o         Babysitting à Will begin March VISTA Meeting (See Flyer for Details)

·          Babysitting will be available at the March, April, May meetings. Please contact VISTA Manager if your troop would like to participate. Great for service hours.

o         LEO – Come Together at LEO 2007

·          LEO - Leader Enrichment Overnight - Camp Wonderland, details available online and packets available at March meeting.

o         preliminary count indicate about $10,000 more in sales than last year.

o         more details at cookie delivery sign up times will be handled at community breakouts

o         trailer for site sale will be 2-24, must pick up cases only and show T1 form

·          Registration

o         Security Forms à Donna- Marie A

·          There is a new registration/security form that needs to be filled out per troop. Both pages of the new form must be filled out and signed (agreement and access rights). Any login/ID and password before 11-6-206 has been canceled.   All registrations must go through VISTA registrars or council will return them.  If there are problems, contact Donna.

·          Training à Karen Z

o         First Aid & CPR

·          First Aid & CPR classes are going well. Another to be set up, e-mail Karen with questions.

o         Basic Leader Training/Girl Level Training

·             Basic Leader Training should be done before going to next level

·          VISTA Events Update

o         Skating --> Julie R

·             Skating - 436 total (188 Girl Scouts, 168 adults, 80 non skater) patches available

o         Suessical --> Julie R

·          130 Girl Scouts, 265 parents, food collected for donation, patches available at March meeting

o         Career Exploration Day

·          Available to girls from 7th - 12th grade.  Flyer will be mailed to teen leaders, will have career women (FBI Agent, RN, congresswoman, to name a few) to speak with the girls, interviewing skill and resume writing workshops

·          March 18, 2007

o         Teen Movie Night

·          Movies, activities/crafts to help benefit the Child Advocacy Center.  More info at March meeting
