- Investiture & Re-dedication Ceremony
- Announcement of new Council CEO - Wende Wilson
- VISTA 6 Mission Statement & Vision: Provide GirlsScouting to all girls within the five communities using all six service delivery options.
- VISTA 6 Food Drive October 28, 2006 : locations to be determined by community partners who volunteered from leaders present. Boxes for food to be supplied.
- Leader Bucks – Get Leader Bucks for Participating at VISTA Meetings. At the end of the year, a silent auction will be held for leaders to bid/purchase prizes.
- By Girls For Girls Advisory council committee – council is putting together an advisory committee made up of girls 7th grade to 12th grade. First meeting October 21 at The Hub. Each VISTA should have a minimum of 2 girls more are welcome.
- LEAD – LEAD is scheduled for Saturday, October 14, 2006 from 9:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. at The HUB. Please register online at www.ilcrossroads.org
- Learning Updates:
- First Aid will be offered with the communities frequently, please get names and availability to Learning Ambassador. GSUSA guidelines for troop/girl leader training have not changed. There are changes in First Aid and CPR requirement programs, which are now required to pass. Parts of the program will be able to be done online with meeting for hands-on only necessary. This will be announced as soon as available.
- Cookie Ambassador/Partner - Community partner positions were filled from those present. Partner training will be at the end of November/beginning of December. Trainings for "leaders/moms" will be done in the schools. Regions for paperwork former community/region: 650-309. 661-318, 664-336, 660-337, 665-338
- Registration - All girls must be registered by October 13 to participate in Fall Products. Community partner positions filled by those present.
- Public Relations – Complete the form for any activities or services projects troops/schools/communities are doing.
- Internal Communication - See VISTA 6 Web page at: www.ilcrossroads.org/vista/6/. Agendas, minutes of meetings, events, and other information will be posted to the Web site.
- E-mail event requirements to web master, include: date, starting and ending time of event; location, description of event, age level involved (ie. Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Teenager/STUDIO 2B, VISTA).
