Attention ALL Girl Scouts Troops of ALL ages!
 
Come and join us for the 2011 Spring Camporee at Camp Duncan in Ingleside, IL!
Enjoy activities including climbing tower, archery, crafts, games, bon fires, swimming and food!
 
All Girl Scouts Troops are invited!
 
When:Saturday through Sunday, June 4-5, 2011.
Where: Camp Duncan YMCA, 32405 N. Hwy 12, Ingleside, IL 60041 (30 minutes from Palatine)
Cost:
For Overnight Participants (Girls, Leaders & Adult Chaperones):
Saturday, June 4th check-in at 8:00 AM and depart Sunday, June 5, 2010 at 1:00 PM after lunch.   
$75.00/person (includes 1 overnight in cabin, 4 meals, activities and patch). Deposit of $35.00 due by November 2nd at the Vista 6 Leader’s meeting.
 
For Day Participants (Girls, Leaders & Adult Chaperones)
Saturday, June 4 arrive by camp 8:30 am. Day-Only Participants (Girls/Leaders/Adult Chaperones):
$40.00/person (includes 2 meals, activities, and patch). Deposit of 20.00 due by November 2nd.
 
For High Ropes with Zipline on Sunday, June 5th at 1:00 PM for girls 5th grade and above
$18.00 per Girl, Leader & Adult Chaperone. No deposit required. Payment due in full by March 1, 2011.

Minimum & Maximum
Overnight Cabins Max 300, Min 100.   Depending on troop size, troops may be combined in a cabin with another troop in order to accommodate as many overnighters as possible.   Our minimum must be met by the November 2nd; otherwise the camporee will be canceled. Troop checks will be returned if canceled due to low enrollment. Checks would be returned at the December Vista 6 meeting or by mail.

Registration Starts: Taken on a first/come, first/served basis, beginning NOW.
Registration ends: NOVEMBER 2, 2010 at the Vista 6 Leader’s meeting – bring registration form and deposit. Once full, a waiting list will be started.

8:00 am: Overnight Troops arrive, check in, unpack and report to Flag Pole for opening ceremony.
8:30 am: Day Only Troops arrive, check in, report to Flag Pole for opening ceremony.
9:00 am: Opening Ceremony, Announcements at Flag Pole
9:30 am - 11:50 am: Program Activities Open
12:00 - 12:50 pm: Lunch
1:00 - 4:50 pm: Program Activities Open
5:00 - 6:00 pm: Dinner
6:00 - 8:00 pm: TBD
8:00-9:00 pm: Bonfire - Day Only Troops depart after bonfire.
10:30 pm: Lights out!

9:00 - 11:50 pm: Program Activities Open
12:00 - 12:50 pm: Lunch
1:00 - 1:15 pm: flagpole for closing ceremony. Troops depart if not signed up for high ropes & zip line.
1:30 - 2:30 pm: High ropes & Zip line Activities for the troops signed up.
2:30 pm: The troops who signed up for high ropes and zipline will depart Camp Duncan.

Reservations with deposits begin: NOW

 

Deposit with troop registration form due: TUESDAY, November 2nd at the Vista 6 Leader’s meeting. 
Full payment due: Tuesday, March 1,2011, 2011 at the Vista 6 Leader’s Meeting

To reserve your space and a cabin for the Camporee, reservations will be taken on a first/come, first/served basis beginning NOW through Tuesday, November 2, 2010. A deposit per person is required for each person (Scout, Leader or Adult Chaperone) planning to attend the Camporee. Full payment is due by Tuesday, March 1, 2011. If a Scout or Leader later chooses not to attend, deposits will be applied to the remaining troop balance. Deposits are nonrefundable but will only be returned to the troop if the camporee is canceled due to low enrollment.
 
A total of 300 overnight spots is available (but will go quickly!). Once the overnight spots are taken, girls will be assigned as Day Only campers.
 
Troops will be notified 2 weeks before camp of their cabin assignment. No refunds will be made. This Camporee will take place rain or shine! Specific cabin requests cannot be made. Troops may be combined in cabins in order to accommodate as many overnight troops as possible. Troops will not be split up.
 
Just a reminder for troops – Must bring the recommended safety-wise adult-to-girl ratio of adults.

To reserve your troop space, please complete the attached “Troop Registration Form”. Please make a copy of the completed Troop Registration form for your records.
 
Additional details will be distributed at the Vista 6 Leader’s meeting on April 5, 2011. 
 
If you will not be attending a leader’s meeting, please call me so we can make other arrangements before the day of the meeting.
