Over the past two years, volunteer representatives from our council, Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana, have been reviewing all of the properties that we acquired through the merger of the legacy councils. The conclusion was to retain seven of the properties, rest two of the properties, and divest of the last three properties. To honor the memories and experiences that Girl Scouts have had throughout the years, council is having the above-mentioned open houses and closing ceremonies at the five properties being rested and divested of. If one or more of these properties holds a dear spot in your heart, you are encouraged to attend and help give them a proper send-off.
