3.             New Business
a.    CoCo Key Water Resort - Saturday, November 11th, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. pre-opening Girl Scout leader day, FREE, ($40 fee), CoCo Key Water Resort Sheraton, Arlington Heights, (next to racetrack) RSVP November 7th (NOTE: THIS DATE HAS BEEN POSTPONED.  WHEN A NEW DATE IS DETERMINED, YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED VIA E-MAIL.)
b.    By Girls, For Girls - October 21st, Hub, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.  Girls ages 14-17. Feedback what girls are interested in, events, in that age group.  Two (2) girls from VISTA 3 needed.
c.    United Way - Community Service Profile, all Troops need to send in their significant service projects that girls were involved in last year (Food drives, PADS, etc.) E-mail, V3_MgrUWAmb@gsvista.org ASAP
d.    Entrees by You - Palatine on Northwest Highway, assemble meals to cook at home. Earn badges, try-its. Cooking badges for nominal fee. www.entreesbyyou.net.
e.    Holiday Bazaar - being organized, give 10% of earnings back to VISTA (mini fundraiser for VISTA).  Anyone in VISTA who wants to showcase their home business, arts and crafts, hobbies, baking skills, etc., and give 10% of their profits back to the VISTA, e-mail V3_GirlMemPart7@gsvista.org ASAP!  Holiday Bazaar will take place at the next Leader meeting in November (NOTE: THIS MEETING DATE MAY CHANGE.  AS SOON AS A NEW DATE IS DETERMINED, YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED VIA E-MAIL AND SNAIL-MAIL (for those without e-mail). Get here a little early and setup your booth/table at 6:15 p.m. (no earlier). Presentation of products/goods will occur after the VISTA meeting.
4.            Upcoming Events
a.    Halloween Party - October 29th, registrations needed ASAP. $5 + $1 patch, 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sunday, at American Legion Hall.  847-705-1694.  Leave message. E-mail V3_EventCoorPart1@gsvista.org.  For brownies, daisies, and 4th grade juniors.
                                                i.      DIGRESSION - VISTA bank account - fundraising event, VISTA wide, asking to donate 5% back (of profit) to VISTA, to cover advertising, copying, etc.). Finance form will reflect new 5% service fee. Loss - no fee. $100 profit, = $5. $1,000 profit = $50. Can tack on up to 50 cents (service fee) per person to raise funds for VISTA. Vote at Nov 6 meeting.
b.    Eagle Cave - October 28-29, 15 spots available. Contact via e-mail V3_FallPrAmb@gsvista.org.  Register by October 18th.  Extra insurance will be purchased
                                                i.      DIGRESSION - Trip Applications - does Rachel’s trip application cover all troops going to Eagle Cave? NO. Each troop needs to send in a trip application for your troop attending an event.  Return forms to Karen D. Supplemental insurance, fill out form, costs about $5. Neighborhood trips don’t need extra insurance or trip applications, but you must let Karen know via phone call, fax, or e-mail, with specific info. Trips further than 10 miles need a trip application form turned in.
c.    DCFS Stocking Project - 200 stockings to children in foster care via DCFS. Sew, decorate, and fill stockings for kids.  Material is provided, you do the sewing. Ages needed: 12 7-9 boys, 20 13+ girls, 21 13+ boys.
d.    Vertical Endeavors - January 20th, indoor climbing wall, girls can just climb with instructor $18, or earn badge Junior earn sports badge, cadettes and srs. Earn high interest patch, $40, 4 hours. Need to find out interest before she books event. E-mail if your troop will be interested in attending, V3_RegPart1@gsvista.org,
e.   Roller Skating Party - January 15, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., adults FREE. Bring your own skates or rent them, $1 patch. Bring toilet paper for drive. For more info, e-mail V3_EventCoorPart2@gsvista.org. Prepay is $6 (includes patch). Come as a troop or with parent. No unaccompanied kids.
f.     PADS - needs troop for centerpieces in April, (6) and 50 placemats or 5 tablerunners. FILLED!!!!!
5.            HUB Happenings
a.    Hub happenings: Flyers to schools are open to all girls, even those already registered. Never closed to any girls. May be age appropriate. Leaders would like to be given a heads up about an event.

Flyers given to District 15 schools for distribution must be delivered to schools on a Monday for distribution the (same week) Friday. (If you turn in a flyer on a Tuesday, the school can then distribute the following week Friday). Contact District 15, dixe@ccsd15.net, for flyer distribution rules and approval of flyer BEFORE you print them.

Fall Products, girls must be registered to participate.

Troops that haven’t re-registered, send out postcards to girls who still want to register.
6.           Other
a.    Ambassador positions open: family involvement (family partnership), adult recruitment, multicultural. Please see cabinet member if interested in volunteering.
b.    Cookie Program, slots open for Partner positions (especially registration area 327), and someone to mentor the Cookie Program Ambassador this year (this is her last year). Now is the time to learn her job with her assistance! 
c.    Need registration area 327 product delivery station for Fall Products. See cabinet member if interested.
d.   Troops that need to register online that are new - see Registration Ambassador for password and contact info. Packets on how to enter registration info. Forms also available tonight. Contact V3_RegAmb@gsvista.org.
