Introduce a Girl to Engineering Event

What: Introduce a Girl to Engineering event for Brownies and Juniors.

When: President’s Day, February 19, 2007

Time: 1-4:30 p.m.

Place: Motorola Innovation Center in Schaumburg

Event: Girls can earn science badges from women engineers. Program is led by National Engineers Foundation.

Cost: Free event, limited to 150 girls.

Deadline: January 31, 2007, first come, first served.

Info: As part of the national “Introduce a Girl to Engineering” campaign, Motorola is opening the doors of its new Innovation Center to host a fun-filled event for local-area Girl Scouts.
Your troop will have a blast at this free science and engineering extravaganza filled with:
• Hands-on science experiments to obtain Brownie Science Try-Its and Junior Science Badges!
• Interactive presentations of how Motorola uses science and engineering to change the world
• Fun activities hosted by Motorola’s women engineers

Attached please find fliers about the Introduce a Girl to Engineering event to be distributed to the Girl Scouts in your troop. Please supplement the flier with the official Girl Scouts of America parental consent form. Final registration date is January 31, 2007.
