PADS Service Opportunity

2010-2011

This service opportunity helps the organization, PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) at their location at Christ Lutheran Church in Palatine.  It has two components:

1.      Prepare table decorations which are used at the site for meals.  This involves making 150 non-laminated placemats and/or 5-6 centerpieces.  Troops can sign up to prepare them for each month, October through April.  This is perfect for younger girls.

2.      Help with the set-up of the facility from 5:45 – 6:30 each Sunday night of the month.  This requires 5-6 kids and 3-4 adults each week.  The kids can be scouts and siblings of scouts, age 10 and older.  Each troop should have an adult who can attend all four (or five) weeks during the month to provide continuity in the set-up.  I will be around on the first and last Sunday to help.  I’m also available to supervise on other Sundays if needed.

If you are interested in helping, please contact Anne Berg.
