Reservations and deposit are due Monday, December 6th, 2010 - Final payment MUST be received by February 7th, 2011. Save the date for the 4th annual 2011 Camporee! April 8-10, 2011 Attention ALL Girl Scouts of ALL ages! Come and join us for the 2011 Camporee! What a great way to camp with your troop. (Meals and activities are planned for you). Older girls teach younger girls by leading acitivities as well as popular camp-led activities including archery, climbing wall, group games, team games and much more! Start planning your campfire performance now When: Friday through Sunday, April 8-10, 2011 Where: Camp Duncan, 32405 N. Hwy 12, Ingleside, IL 60041 (30 minutes from Palatine) Cost: Friday-Sunday, April 8-10, Overnight Participants (Girls/Leaders/Adult Chaperones): Saturday-Sunday, April 9-10, Overnight Participants (Girls/Leaders/Adult Chaperones): $55/person (includes 1 overnight in cabin, 3 meals, activities, and patch). Saturday, April 9, Day-Only Participants (Girls/Leaders/Adult Chaperones): Max/Min: (Should be the same if still at Camp Duncan) Cabin size Max 474, Min 300. Camp max is 640 total participants. (Depending on troop size, troops may be combined in a cabin with another troop in order to accommodate as many overnighters as possible.) Troop Limits: This year, in order to accommodate as many GIRLS as possible, we need to limit the number of adults. Troops will be allowed to bring the recommended safety-wise adult-to-girl ratio of adults plus one additional adult - NO EXCEPTIONS. For an overnight trip such as this, the adult-to-girl ratios are: Daisy, Grades K-1—2 unrelated adults for each 6 girls. For each additional 4 girls, add 1 more adult. Brownie, Grades 2-3—2 unrelated adults for each 12 girls. For each additional 6 girls, add 1 more adult. Junior, Grades 4-5—2 unrelated adults for each 16 girls. For each additional 8 girls, add 1 more adult. Cadette, Grades 6-8—2 unrelated adults for each 20 girls. For each additional 10 girls, add 1 more adult. Senior, Grades 9-10—2 unrelated adults for each 24 girls. For each additional 12 girls, add 1 more adult. Ambassador, Grades 11-12—2 unrelated adults for each 24 girls. For each additional 12 girls, add 1 more adult. Registration: Taken on a first/come, first/served basis, at the leader meeting on December 6, 2010. Registration ends February 7, 2011 with final payment due. Once full, a waiting list will be started. Tentative Schedule: SWAPS will be back by popular demand! Friday, April 8, 2011 6:00-9:00 p.m.—Overnight Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Volunteer Troops arrive, check in. Dinner is on your own. Volunteers setup activities. Saturday, April 9, 2011 7:30 a.m.—Day Only Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Volunteers check in. 8:00 a.m.—Overnight Brownie & Junior Troops arrive, check in, unpack, and report to Flag Pole for opening ceremony. 9:00 a.m.—Day Only Daisy, Brownie, & Junior Troops arrive, check in, report to Flag Pole for opening ceremony 10:00 a.m.—Opening Ceremony, Announcements at Flag Pole 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.—Program Activities 6:45-7:45 p.m.—Day Only Troops Bonfire 8-9 p.m.—Day Only Troops depart; Overnight Troops Bonfire 10:30 p.m.—Lights out! Sunday, April 10, 2011 7-8:30 a.m.—Breakfast/Cleanup & Packup 9 a.m.—Closing Ceremony; Brownie & Junior Troops Depart 9-11 a.m.—Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Troops participate in Challenge Course Activities 11:30 a.m.—Cadette, Senior, & Ambassador Troops Depart
$70/person (includes 2 overnight in cabin, 3 meals, activities, and patch) - min of 100 participants must sign-up for 2 day option.
