Reservation and Initial Deposit Form for CAMPERS

Reservations with deposits begin: December 8, 2008 (at the LEADER Mtg, no earlier!)

Full payment due: February 9, 2009

No cancellations after: February 9, 2009

To reserve your space and a cabin for the Camporee, reservations will be taken on a first/come, first/served basis beginning December 8, 2008, through February 9, 2009. A $10 deposit per person is required for each person (Scout or Leader or Adult Chaperone) planning to attend the camporee. Full payment is due by February 9, 2009. (If a Scout or Leader later chooses not to attend, deposits will be applied to the remaining troop balance or refunded as long as we meet the minimum number of campers required.) A total of 474 overnight spots are available (but will go quickly!). Once the overnight spots are taken, girls will be assigned as Day Only campers and put on an overnight waiting list until the 620 Day Camper maximum is met. Troops will be notified in February of their cabin assignment. Due to the need to purchase craft and activity supplies, any cancellations must be made by February 9, 2009. No refunds will be made after February 9, 2009, unless the spots can be filled from the waiting list. This Camporee will take place rain or shine! Specific cabin requests cannot be made. Troops may be combined in cabins in order to accommodate as many overnight troops as possible. Troops will not be split up (unless arrangements have been made with Sandy C. ahead of time).

*Scholarships—All girls should have the opportunity to attend this event, therefore, some money is available for girls in need. If you have a girl in need, please fill out the Scholarship Application, available for download at: http://www.ilcrossroads.org/vistas/3/resources/ourvista/ or contact Pam V, VISTA 3 Manager, for additional information, email V3_MgrUWAmb@gsvista.org.

Reservation and Initial Deposit Form for VOLUNTEER TROOPS

Reservations with deposits begin: November 10, 2008 and ends December 8, 2008

Full payment due: February 9, 2009

No cancellations after: February 9, 2009

This year’s Camporee is looking for Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Troops to volunteer! We need volunteers* to run either an activity (game) or craft (your troop will choose a game or craft, and upon approval, make arrangements to purchase supplies and make any preparations, instructions, etc. prior to the Camporee. Your troop will be reimbursed for all expenses.). Not only will you gain valuable leadership skills (and hours), you’ll also get a reduced rate, participate in a pizza party Friday night, receive a highly coveted Camporee Volunteer t-shirt, AND participate in Cadette/Senior/Ambassador-only Teams Course activities on Sunday, April 5! There’s a limited number of volunteer opportunities available, so volunteers will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis! *Each game or craft should involve at least 5 but no more than 8 volunteers.

Because Volunteer troops may require time to setup their activity or craft, it is highly recommend that they sign up for two nights (Friday and Saturday).

*Scholarships—All girls should have the opportunity to attend this event, therefore, some money is available for girls in need. If you have a girl in need, please fill out the Scholarship Application, available for download at:
