Our Girl Scout VISTA 3 will have a booth at Street Fest in Palatine, August 22-24, 2008. You are asked to run a game for kids (already set up with prizes), collect any food that is donated, and simply answer questions about Girl Scouts and sign up any girls who need more information! It's that easy! You get to sit in the shade under a canopy ... enjoy some of the delicious food from the vendors ... and hear some great music at the same time! What could be a better way to spend your afternoon? PLEASE, even if you have not signed up already, stop by and volunteer an hour or two to help us promote Girl Scouts! We need leaders and girls to help out! Wear your uniform if you'd like, but not required. Bring your whole troop!
This is a great family outing, I really suggest you stop by and check out local business and non-for-profit org. There is live entertainment too! I am still looking for a few volunteers for that weekend. Thank you to those who have already stepped up. We are also inviting people to bring their non-perishable goods to our booth. We will then bring these items to the food pantry as our 1st of two food collections. Please advise which two hours you can help out. If you are able to work another time slot please advise, It would be nice to have 4 volunteers there at a time.
