Come join the fun as we go swimming in the middle of winter! This is a private party for Girl Scouts only (but parents, siblings, and girls you’d like to recruit are invited as well! The event is closed to the general public.) The park offers three water slides, a rapid water channel, water playground, diving pool, lap pool, gradual beach-like entry pool, and a whirlpool (for adults only).

Visit http://www.parkfun.com/dir/fit/ww/wtrwks.html to take a virtual tour of the pool! The Oasis (food stand) will also be open for the evening, selling candy, chips, pretzels, nachos, ice cream, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, hot chocolate, milk, pop, tea, and coffee (extra $$).

Sponsored by VISTA 3 Cadette Troop 1558. This is a fundraising event to help offset costs to earn their Silver Award. Leaders: please review the Waterworks Pool Rules with your troop. No towels or locker locks are provided. Storage cubicles and bins are located on swim deck. Adults must accompany children under 9 years of age at an 8:1 ratio. Lined bathing suits required. Personal flotation devices and small pool toys are permitted in leisure pool only. Patrons must be 18 years or older to use hot tub. You are responsible for cleaning up your things after the event.

To sign up, leaders should send an e-mail with their Troop #, Leader name, address, and the names of all attending who are swimming and not swimming to Sandy, e-mail V3_Webmaster@gsvista.org, no later than February 13, 2007. Only 200 tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. After leaders receive a confirmation from me, they should bring their check payable to Troop 1558 to the event on Feb. 17, and pickup their tickets for entry into the pool. If you want patches or charms, they will be ordered after the event and sent to leaders via mail.

This event is open to all currently registered Girl Scouts, their friends (who you’re trying to recruit), and family members (brothers, sisters, parents, etc.). Extra insurance for non-Scouts for this event has been purchased.
