Girl Scout Colorado Trip

YMCA of the Rockies SNOW MOUNTAIN RANCH WINTER PARK, CO


TRIP DETAILS

This exciting trip is for girls entering 7th grade in the 2011-2012 school year or older! Join us as a troop or individual.

  • COST: $1,000—$1,200 per person (depending on selection of adventure activities). Includes lodging, food, t-shirt, travel, day excursion, and basic activities.
  • Informational Meeting Wednesday, September 8, 2010 6:00 pm—Camp Greene Wood or by Conference Call
  • RSVP by filling out the informational meeting sign-up form and return it to svs@kmlegal.com
  • Registration Form & Non-Refundable Deposit Due October 1, 2010 - $300 deposit
  • Additional payments will be made in monthly installments every other month starting in December.
  • All girls must attend a water safety training which will be scheduled in January.
  • Total amount due by April 15, 2011.
  • Leaders and individuals will receive a Colorado Trip Packet with additional information and forms.
  • Girl-to-adult troop ratios should be adhered to based on Safety-Wise standards: 2 adults to 20 girls.
    Troops may pair up in order to reach the 2-adult minimum.


INCLUDED ACTIVITIES

  • Hiking: Hike on one of Snow Mountain Ranch’s beautiful trails.
  • Mini-golf: Have a blast playing a few rounds on this exciting course.
  • Swimming: Need to cool off? Then go for a swim in the indoor pool!
  • Roller Skating: Test your skills at the YMCA’s recreational facility.
  • Tennis, Basketball, Softball, Volleyball: A variety of sports for Girl Scouts to enjoy.
  • Wildlife: Enjoy viewing Snow Mountain Ranch’s amazing wildlife.
  • Disc Golf: 18 holes of disc flipping fun, with a scenic walk as a bonus.

ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES (Extra Cost Associated)

  • Whitewater Rafting: Ride the waves on the Colorado River! Full day rafting $70
  • Horseback Riding: The Rocky Mountains make this ride one that you can’t miss! Choose from 2-hour, breakfast rides or dinner rides. $40-$60
  • High Challenge: A team-building activity comprised of many elements, about 20 feet above the ground. This activity is geared for troops or pairs of girls. $17
  • Low Challenge: A set of activities where, as a team, you solve challenges. $10
  • Canoeing: Practice your paddling in the YMCA’s reservoir. $6
  • Wall Climbing: Test your strength as you climb the wall. $8
  • Zip line: Take a ride across the sky along the 300ft long zip line. $9
  • Mountain Biking: Explore miles of scenic trails. Helmet included. $10-$15
  • Day Excursion Rocky Mountain National Park: Enjoy a scenic bus ride and walk through this national treasure.
