Day Camporee - "Bring a Friend"
Wednesday, June 9, 2010 - 6/10/10 & 6/11/10
Day 1: Vernon Hills Regonal Servce Center; Day 2: Busse Woods; Day 3: Journey World 770 N. Halsted, Chicago
Girl Scouts GCNWI is offering an exciting day camp opportunity to Girl Scouts and their friends! We have designed 3 different camps, in 3 different locations, on 3 different days to introduce new (or former) Girl Scouts to our fantastic programs, AND to help existing girls satisfy Try-It, Badge, Interest Project and Journey requirements. These camps are being offered to all registered girls as a “Bring A Friend” event. In other words, any registered Girl Scout can attend along with an unregistered girl guest (currently in K – 11th grade). (All guests attending camp will become registered with Girl Scouts and will be eligible to participate in Girl Scout activities over the summer, including camp, program activities, and special events.)
Day 1: Eco-Journey Camporee
- Wednesday, June 9th
- Vernon Hills Regional Service Center, 650 North Lakeview Parkway Vernon Hills, IL
- $15 per girl*
- Spend the day doing fun activities, creating art projects and learning about our environment. Girls will satisfy badge and Journey requirements throughout the day.
- Girls will need to bring a lunch; a snack will be provided.
Day 2: Day Camping Camporee
- Thursday, June 10th
- Busse Woods, Grove 32 (Entrance at Beisner & Biesterfield Rds) Elk Grove Village, IL
- $15 per girl*
- Here’s a day just for you…..enjoy fun camp-style activities, including hikes, outdoor cooking, camp songs and games. Girls will satisfy badge requirements throughout the day.
- Girls should plan to dress for the weather and wear gym shoes. We will meet rain or shine!
- Girls will need to bring a lunch and water bottle; snacks will be provided
Day 3: Around the World Camporee
- Friday, June 11th
- Journey World, 770 North Halsted Chicago, IL
- $15 per girl*
- Travel the world in just one day! Learn about countries and cultures in our very own Journey World. Girls will satisfy badge requirements throughout the day.
- Girls will need to bring a lunch; a snack will be provided.
