Start Collecting old batteries and cell phones for the Girl Scout Forever Green Rally

The Girl Scout Forever Green Rally takes place at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont on June 5, 2010
EVENT DESCRIPTION
Between March 12, 2010 and June 5, 2010, girls will collect old batteries and cell phones. On June 5, 2010, girls will bring collected batteries and cell phones to the Forever Green Rally at the Allstate Arena. The Forever Green Rally will take place between 3:30pm-6:30pm on the Allstate Arena grounds.The event will include information and activity tables where girls will showcase their own Forever Green Projects. Girls will learn more about Girl Scouts ’Forever Green Community Action Project, and other ways they can affect positive change. Take Action Projects, including Silver and Gold Award projects that are environmentally themed, will be on display at the Rally as well. The Rally will culminate in a SWAP session of SWAPS made from recycled materials. Girls will receive a patch (or other item of appreciation) for taking part in the Take Action project. Concessions will be available at the Rally. The Forever Green Sky game will kick off at 6:30pm with Girl Scout involvement in a pre-game ceremony on the main court of the Allstate Arena.The game tips off at 7pm with Girl Scout participation throughout the game via on-court contests, performances, jumbotron mentions and the presentation of the donation check. The game will conclude at approximately 9pm and buses will depart back to the Regional Service Centers.
EVENT COSTS
Tickets for the Forever Green Rally and Sky game will be $22 for Lower level sideline seating and $17 for Lower level corner/baseline seating. $5 of EVERY ticket sold will be donated back to the Girl Scouts. Parking at Allstate Arena will be $12 per car. To decrease the carbon footprint of the event, bus transportation to and from Allstate Arena will be provided from Regional Service Centers. Cost of the bus is $5 per person.
