Pet Show Registrations due for the "Pet Party Palooza" - Troop 40083 Bronze Award Project

The April 10th event takes place at 65 W. Seegers Rd., Arlington Heights

Troop 40083 is planning to run a "Pet Party Palooza" event as part of their Bronze Award. This event takes place on April 10th, from 12-2:30 at 65 W. Seegers road in Arlington Heights and is for all Girl Scouts grades 2-8. Any girl bringing a pet with her must also be accompanied by a parent . This event consists of a dog show, a rodent race for pet hamsters, a photo with your pet, and prizes for best pet costume, biggest/smallest dog, coolest pet trick and pet/owner look alike. Also, girls will have a chance to earn a badge: Brownies - Animal Try-It; Juniors - Pet Care Badge; Cadettes - Pet Interest Project (partial).

You must register in advance in order to attend this event. The pet show is open to Juniors or Cadettes and their pets only. However, any age may come and watch. Registrations to enter the pet show are due by March 1. Registration to come watch the pet show and participate in the badge earning activities (open to all girls grades 2-8) is due by March 26.

Many pet supply businesses will be on hand to demonstrate their products.

All proceeds will benefit the Buddy Foundation, a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter for abused and neglected dogs and cats.

(A registration form for this event is attached. You must fill this out and mail the form to troop 40083 in order to attend this event. You should find the leader’s mailing address by using your VISTA 2 leader directory that was emailed to all leaders earlier this year. DO NOT mail your registration to 65 Seegers Rd.
