Each girl is responsible to put together and decorate before the event.Categories are Animal/Insect, Girl Scout Theme, Creativity, and Most Colorful.

What are Rope Runners™? They are wooden figures which rolls down a rope on a single wheel, using weights to balance. This is the Girl Scout version of a pinewood derby. Girls will make and decorate their own Rope Runner™ and get to race them.

What the Girls Can Learn and Earn a Badge! Assembling the Rope Runner™ provides an opportunity for the girls to learn about balance, counter weights, center of mass, science, woodworking, machines, and wheels and axles. Then, the Rope Runner™ is transformed into a personal artistic statement by decorating it with simple craft materials and imagination. See www.roperunners.com.
