The Power of One Girl Scout organization can feed many hungry people! Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana Bring food items to the Girl Scout collection locations listed below.* With help from Greater Chicago Food Depository, Northern Illinois Food Bank, and Northwest Indiana Food Bank, donations will be distributed to the hungry children, women, and men throughout our communities. FREE Girl Scout Activity to Six Girl Scout Troops Drawing: For every 10 food items dropped off at a Girl Scout Center collection location or a Dominick’s food store, a registered Girl Scout troop will receive one entry into a drawing for a FREE Girl Scout Council Program Activity for the entire registered troop (up to $10 per girl/adult; there’s more than 1,500 offerings at www.girlscoutsgcnwi.org; valid through June 2009). Did you know anyone can donate food items on behalf of Girl Scouts? If food items are dropped off at a Dominick’s food store, call the closest Girl Scout collection location to enter the Girl Scout’s troop in the drawing. Be prepared to provide the Girl Scout’s troop number and how many items were donated on her behalf. The Girl Scout troop will receive one drawing entry for every 10 items donated. FREE Patches: For every 100 food items dropped off (at one time) directly to a Girl Scout location, a registered Girl Scout troop receives 10 entries into a drawing for a FREE Girl Scout Council Program Activity for the entire registered troop (up to $10 per girl/adult), AND a FREE Girl Scout Food Drive patch for each Girl Scout in the troop.
