Girl Scout Day with the Northwestern Wildcats

Saturday, October 11, 2008 - 2:30 p.m.

Ryan Field at the Northwestern University Campus in Evanston

A message from Northwestern University to Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana:

Dear Scout Troops,
Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets to Scout Day at Ryan Field on October 11th.  The game time for this game was just announced as a 2:30 p.m. start and will be broadcast on ESPN2.  Be sure wear purple for your chance to be on national TV!  If you haven't ordered your tickets to watch the undefeated Wildcats, there is still time do that on NUsports.com.  Just enter NUSCT or bring this e-mail to the Ticket Office to purchase tickets before Friday, October 10th.

In addition to the game, we have a lot of great activities and NU goodies lined up for scout day participants this year. The day will begin at the pregame fan fest area, Wildcat Alley, located just north of Ryan Field.  Admission is free to Wildcat Alley.  At Wildcat Alley from 1:45 pm to 2:30 pm scouts can take part in activities, as well as pick up NU giveaways at the Scout Table. Members of the Wildcat Wrestling and Field Hockey teams will be the Scout Day Hosts at the table teaching scouts the rules and techniques of their sports.

For troops that are unable to attend Wildcat Alley, the scout activity books and giveaway items will be available for pick up at the Activities Table on Randy Walker Terrace, which is located on the top of the locker room near the north end zone of Ryan Field.  Walker Terrace is open to all fans throughout the entire game, so be sure to pick up your scout day packets here if we miss you at Wildcat Alley.

When boy and girl scouts complete their activity book, they can stop by the Activities Table again to receive the official Scout Day Patch. Also on Walker Terrace during the game, fans can get their faces painted, play games and take part in our Lou Malnati's Coloring Contest for a chance to win free pizza.

We look forward to seeing you at the game.  If you have any questions regarding Scout Day, please feel free to contact Tracie at Northwestern University t-hitz@northwestern.edu. If you have questions once you get to the game, stop by any of the Guest Services Booths inside the stadium or ask our game-day staff for help.
