Girl Scout Brownie STEM Sampler

Saturday, May 30, 2009 - 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

Girl Scout Brownie STEM Sampler is a program designed for Girl Scout Brownies who wish to learn more about
various fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Each Girl Scout Brownie STEM Sampler will include
different experiments regarding Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

Examples of experiments include:
∗ Creating homemade ice cream
∗ Tye-dyeing a T-shirt (bring a T-shirt on May 30, 2009)
∗ Making silly putty
∗ Fingerprinting
∗ Creating erupting volcanoes
∗ Launching rockets
∗ Learning about optics
∗ Flinging ping pong balls
∗ Making edible comets

Cost: $10 per participant (includes program supplies, snack, fun patch, and goodies) Girls must bring own lunch.
Free of charge for adults.

Please Note: A registered adult must accompany the girls during the Girl Scout Brownie STEM
Sampler. Troops must follow Safety-Wise girl to adult ratio. Girls will not be permitted to leave the premises.
