STEM Saturday on a Friday Night: "Car Care"

STEM Saturdays, is a program designed for Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors who wish to learn more about various fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Each STEM Saturday will focus on a different topic.
October 17, 2008 (Friday): Car Care
Join us for this exciting car care event. Girl Scouts is teaming up with Ford to offer girls ages 14-18 and their mothers an experience to learn hands-on about cars and car safety. Girls will work with a technician to learn how to check for proper fluids, air pressure, batteries, tire tread, braking distance, rules of the road, and careers in the auto industry.
Cost: FREE for each participant, capacity 65 girls, ages 14-18
Program is being held at 600 W. Northwest Highway, Barrington, Illinois
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early.
A volunteer or a mother is required to remain with the girls during the car care program.
