Appalacian Caverns 4th Annual Cadette/Senior Girl Scout Caving Camporee

Appalachian Caverns, located in Blountville, Tennessee, is now accepting registrations for their 4th Annual Cadette/Senior Girl Scout Caving Camporee to be held beginning on Monday, June 23, 2008.  Three packages are available for troops/groups to choose from.
 
The packages are:
• The “Basic 3” for $60 which includes all the components to complete the Caving IPP: regular walking tour, seminar on bats and caves, a 3-4 hour wild tour in the caverns, and a service project, gem mining at the caverns, an evening at the local drive-in theatre, miniature golf, nature hike, camping, and an ice cream social (available on Saturdays)

• The “Bonus 4” for $100 includes all the activities of the “Basic 3” and one additional activity from the “7 Days to Do It All” package.

• The “7 Days to Do It All” for $150 includes all the components of the “Basic 3” plus whitewater rafting, mountain biking (includes bike rental), rock climbing, and true wild caving in a cavern with no commercial development.

There is a limited amount of camping gear available for rent at an additional charge for Girl Scout troops that fly into the local airport (airport code TRI), located a few miles from the caverns.
