1.   Ambassador Positions

• ·                    Nancy has volunteered to take the role of Community Manager for Mundelein/Fremont
• ·                    Remaining Mundelein/Fremont positions are in the process of being filled
• ·                    Melina has volunteered to take the role of Community Manager for Libertyville
• ·                    Remaining Libertyville positions are in the process of being filled
• ·                    Sophie needs to know who is filling all positions to set up contact with The HUB
• ·                    Contact information will not be posted on the web for security purposes.  We will look into making roster copies for everyone once positions are filled, or e-mailing it.  In the meantime contact the Event Coordinator or Web Manager.

 

2.   Fall Product Sale

• ·                    Need an Ambassador identified for each Community
• ·                    Training was Tuesday, Sept 12 or Wed. Sept. 13^th for VISTA Community Ambassadors
• ·                    Or you can call Kathy at The HUB
• ·                    Sale timeframe: October 13 – October 29^th
• ·                    Troop level training for Fall Product sale at next VISTA meeting, Oct. 10^th, 7:00 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.
• ·                    Troop packets will be distributed at next VISTA meeting, Oct. 10^th, 7:00 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.
• ·                    Be sure the Fall Sale person from each troop attends this training and gets their materials

3.   First Aid and CPR Training

• ·                    The courses have been simplified into a combined 4 hr class, certification good for 2 yrs
• ·                    Location: Countryside Fire Dept., Vernon Hills
• ·                    Sept. 25^th from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
• ·                    October 21^st from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
• ·                    Contact Vicki for more information
• ·                    $40 cost, includes the manual, can be taken from troop funds

4.   New Leader Training

• ·                    Andrea put together a guide with Vicki
• ·                    This training is in addition to the Leader Training offered online by the council
• ·                    Sept 16^th 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
• ·                    Sept 27^th 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

• ·                    Thank you Mundelein/Fremont for opening your Camporee to the VISTA, it was a great success!!
• ·                    Jill collected ticket money for Medieval Times VISTA event, tickets will be distributed at Oct VISTA meeting
• ·                    Reservation and $10 per girl due to Lisa by Sept 24 for VISTA Camporee May 5-6^th
• ·                    Wicked! tickets are being coordinated by Eden
• ·                    Cake Decorating for adults (who then teach the girls) is being coordinated by Jill, $65

 

7.   Storage Units

• ·                    The VISTA 15 storage unit, located in Libertyville, has been rented for us by The HUB
• ·                    Keys and directions, along with specific checkout instructions, will be distributed shortly
• ·                    A list of contents will be posted on the VISTA Web site once inventoried
