Hello Leaders,

Below are ’minutes’ from our Community meeting last week, in addition to attached info and flyers about upcoming events. 

Hawthorn Community Leader Meeting Minutes for 02/13/2007

1.     Send email address updates to Valerie Parker.  This is the major form of impromptu and emergency communication in our Community. 

2. A Big THANK YOU to Linda Galindo for coordinating the Daddy Daughter Dance!

3. Troop photos are scheduled for Wednesday, Feb 28, 6:30-8:30, in the Townline café.  Please be prompt and bring your order envelopes and $$.

4. Winter Event this year is bowling fun!  Forms are due March 9.  Watch for a flyer coming soon.

5.     Friendship Fair this year will have the theme ’The ABC’s of Art!’  Important dates to remember:  March 5, letter/theme due;  March 15, troop form and money due;  April 2, question/activity for booklet due.  The attached flyer has all the details and the sign up form.

6.     Daisy/Brownie Try-It activity will be the Movers Try It.  More details at future meetings.

7.    Girl Membership is up to 111% over last year!  Thanks to Janine Johnston and Barb Whalen for all the time they put into organizing registration efforts for Hawthorn.  We have at least 3 new Daisy troops starting up next school year, and more to come!

9.    Registration update has several items of note.  Please have your E-council waivers signed by one registered adult from each troop for Spring Registration.  E-council waivers are attached. Barb will bring extras to the March 12 Monday Vista meeting.  Please fax the completed waiver to the phone number indicated on the form or mail it to Barb Whalen,

Spring Registration packets will be available at the April meeting for Troops that have completed their waiver and received their login name and new 2007 password.

New Troop Leaders or New Leaders of existing troops: This Spring, you will be updating your troop’s registration for the upcoming school year on-line.   Only one login name and password will be given to a registered adult from your troop.   This adult may be a leader, co-leader or registered parent.  Please have this designated person sign the E-Council Waiver that is attached.   You may mail it to Barb Whalen,  or fax it to the phone number on the Waiver.
