  • Vista Promotion: The top Girl Scout achiever in the VISTA in total boxes of cookies sold will receive an iPod with a docking station. (Minimum of 150 boxes) Each girl that sells 95 boxesof Girl Scout Cookies will be entered in a drawing for an iPod (one winner per Vista). Receive additional entries for every 25 boxes over 95 boxes. Top achievers do not participate in the drawing.Drawing will be held on February 14, 2007. Winners and their families will be invited to a special party in March 2007 at The Hub to celebrate the council’s top achievers.

Be the TOP troop/group in your VISTA with total boxes of cookies sold and receive: a $50 Hub shop certificate and invitation to a special party in March 2007 at The Hub.

CPR/First Aid Training: Books are available for those who already completed training. From now on everyone will receive a book at the training. Eight spots are still available for the January 24 session from 6-10 pm. The cost is $40.00 per person. Contact Vicki Repsholdt for more information.

The Hub is now offering more instructor-led training classes. Bronze, Silver and Gold award training is also available. Contact the Hub for more information.

Registration update from Laura Ruffridge at the Hub. The Vista is at 60% of goal for the number of girls registered…that’s down 500 girls. We need to do a second wave of recruitment at schools, particularly to recruit adult volunteers for new troops. Please ask anyone who might be interested in being a leader to volunteer…it doesn’t need to be a parent of a girl in the troop.

Events:

  • VISTA Camporee at Camp Timber-lee May 5-6, 2007: Lisa McCauley. You can still sign up and give deposit money. Registration forms will be available for the February Vista Meeting. Activities will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment will be due at the April Vista meeting.

Next Vista meeting will be Tuesday, February 13 at 7:00 pm
