Hawthorn Community Caroling at Manor Care
Wednesday, December 20, 2006 - 4:00 pm
1500 S. Milwaukee Ave Libertyville IL
We have a date set for caroling at Manor Care in Libertyville. For those of you who haven’t participated before, this is a yearly tradition which is both fun and rewarding! Manor Care is an in-patient post-surgery care and rehab facility. Caroling is a great way for our girls reach out to others and the patients really enjoy seeing all the smiling faces (even if the singing is off-key)!!!

Bring: small ornaments to hang in the rooms
Any troops wishing to participate will meet at the home on Wednesday, Dec. 20th at 4 pm. We will stroll the hallways, and if the patients are up to it, we can go into the rooms and sing holiday carols. In the past we did some major decorating, but at the request of the directors, we have scaled it back to small ornaments we can hang in the patient’s rooms. Last year Vickie provided ornament kits for the girls to make, but at the request of some of the leaders, I am going to leave it up to the individual troops to make and bring their own ornaments - the girls can use their creativity and decide what kind of ornaments they would like to bring. Cookies and juice will be provided.
Please RSVP to me by Friday, Dec. 8th via email with your troop number and the number of girls who will be participating. I will make up a songsheet and email it to participating troops. If you have any questions or suggestions, give me a call
