Thinking Day 2007

Theme: Holidays Around the World

 

Attendees: Libertyville Girl Scout Troops

When: Sunday, February 25     Time: 2-5 pm

Where: Butterfield Elementary School, 1441 West Lake St., Libertyville

 

What to Bring:

 

ü    Bring a food item to share from a holiday celebrated in the country that you choose (NO peanut or nut products).

ü    Learn about that country and be prepared to either:

§       Teach or share a song, dance, or other tradition of that holiday, and/or

§       Give a presentation with a table display about how and why people celebrate that holiday including interesting facts, and/or

§       Be creative—any ideas for sharing what your scouts have learned about the holiday in the country you have selected.

§       Assume 3 minutes per table to share the holiday tradition and experience.

ü    Bring a swap pin that reflects that countries holiday.

 

R.S.V.P. by November 30th to Kaitlin Woodyard at V15_EventCoorPart1@gsvista.org  with your country top 3 choices, troop number, troop level, and rough number of scouts (leave call back name/number/email address). 

 

Fees of $15/troop fee plus $2.50/girl will be due by December 15 (Checks payable to Girl Scout Troop 1506)

 

First come, First serve on country selection.
