The Lake County Forest Preserve’s schedule of volunteer workdays is open to Girl Scouts as a special Earth Day 2008 project. Troops can choose from 9 dates in March and April at various locations around
Each site can accommodate a maximum of 8 people. Girls age 10 and under must each be accompanied by an adult (which would mean a work crew for one site would consist of 4 girls and 4 adults). Girls over the age of 10 must be accompanied by at least one adult (a work crew for one site would consist of 7 girls and one adult). Because of the space limitations, it might be necessary to split your troop between work sites.
Groups must sign up absolutely no later than March 10.
Earth Day patches will be available for $1.00 each. To register, you must indicate how many patches you need and make checks payable to
