Girl Scout Cookies® Are Coming!

Girl Scouts will begin taking orders from January 4-27, 2008. 
Deliveries will occur February 23-March 23, 2008.
 
This year’s varieties include:

  • Thin Mints
  • Peanut Butter Sandwich
  • Shortbread
  • Caramel de Lites®
  • Peanut Butter Patties®
  • Thanks-A-Lots™
  • Lemonades™
  • Cinna-Spins™ -- NEW  
The newest Girl Scout Cookies® are Cinna-Spins™ -- a crispy, cinnamon snack swirls in a convenient 100 calorie pack.
 
All Girl Scout Cookies® are offered at $4 per box. All Girl Scout Cookies® are certified Kosher.
 

Jeanne Dimick will also be collecting cookies for the troops through Operation Yellow Ribbon (tax exempt letter attached)

 
Girl Scout Cookie® Program is the nation’s premier entrepreneurial program where girls develop skills they will use for their entire lives.  Some of the skills learned from this annual activity include:

  • Leadership Development
  • Ethical Decision-Making
  • Presentation Skills
  • Working as Part of a Team
  • Setting Goals
  • Developing Plans for Reaching those Goals
  • Interpersonal Communication

Girl Scouts – Illinois Crossroads Council requires:
  • That each girl’s participation is voluntary.
  • Parents and guardians must grant permission to participate. In signing the permission form, parents/guardians agree to remain informed about
    their girls’ whereabouts when they are engaged in the Girl Scout Cookie®   program.
  • Girls must work in pairs and be identifiable as Girl Scouts by wearing a membership pin or a uniform, or by carrying a membership card.
  • Parents and Girl Scout troop leaders/advisors must approve the appropriate times and places for selling and delivering cookies.
  • Girls (and their parents/guardians) may not engage in selling Girl Scout Cookies® on the Internet. 
  •  Adults serve in a supporting role for girls but should not assume sole responsibility for sales. The selling of Girl Scout Cookies® or other council-sponsored products may not be conducted by adults. (Safety-Wise, Standard 30)
