Underdog Rescue Mini Workshop

Underdog Rescue, a new animal rescue group that I am involved with, is holding a FREE public mini workshop that troops of older girls (age 10 and up) may be interested in—an “Animal Heroes Mini Workshop” at Lake Villa Library on Saturday, August 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
We will have a local veterinarian, animal trainer, and cat and dog rescue experts answering questions about the care, training, rescue and fostering of dogs and cats. There also will be giveaways, a raffle and snacks. The event is free, but donations of dog or cat food, milk bones, and old towels, etc. are always welcome.
The information we will offer should fulfill most or all of the Junior Pet Care badge requirements and several of the Cadette Pets interest patch requirements.

Although on the Web sites I have indicated that no registration is necessary, I would appreciate advance notice from any Girl Scout troops that will attend because space is limited and I also want to make sure I have enough snacks, etc.
Troops can email me at V14_IntComAmb@gsvista.org - I woul like a rough count of who will attend. Permission slips etc. are up to the troop. I will not be collecting them—it is a public event open to adults and families.
