Memorial Day Parade

Round Lake and Lake Villa Parades - All Girls are Welcome to Join from ALL Communities


Memorial Day Parade 2007
(Anyone from Any Community may join in either parade - We are All Girl Scouts -- Let's show our Pride!!!)
 
Monday May 28th
 
Round Lake - Line up @ The American Legion Post – 111 Main St.
 
Check in is at 9:00AM & the parade is scheduled to kick off at 10:00AM
 
Girls are encouraged to wear their full Girl Scout uniform, pin or some other means of group identification…And COMFORTABLE SHOES!!!
 
We are looking for walkers to gently toss candy to the crowd, as well as floats with riders. (Please reference your Safety-Wise book for Parade Safety Guidelines). The weather is unpredictable but we march rain or shine, so please come prepared; sunscreen, extra water, throwing candy, etc.
 
The parade patch will cost $1.25 each
 
Roster, Payment, & Permission Slips: Will be due to Melynda K, no later than the May 8th Vista Meeting.

Lake Villa - Line up @ 12:00 noon at Palombi Jr. High - McKinnley

Parade will begin at 1 pm.  Patches are $1 each to be ordered with Jayne G.  Each troop is responsible for bringing their own candy to hand out at the parade.  REMEMBER TO BRING LOTS OF WATER for the girls in your troop. 

Be sure to decorate and wear Red, White & Blue with your Girl Scout Vest/Sash.
