Allendale Stocking Stuffer Guidelines –

                 Christmas 2009                        

 

Allendale is a home and school for emotionally troubled children located in Lake Villa.  Our service unit distributes stockings for these children every year.  We need to fill 120 stockings this year.  There are about girls and boys ages 8-18.  All items no more than $5.00.

 

** No sharp or glass items (no pins, scissors, mirrors, pencil sharpeners)

** No bulky cosmetic kits, art kits or jewelry sets-too big for stockings

** No cameras, CDs or other expensive items

** No battery powered items

 

Corporate Donations

Please check with scout parents if their companies can donate items, gift certificates etc.

 

School/Craft supplies

Markers, crayons, pens, pencils, watercolors, glitter glue, mini art sets, diaries, small notebooks, sketch pads

 

Toiletries

Lotions, gels, body spray, buff puffs, men’s cologne, aftershave, lip gloss, chap-stick, combs, brushes, tooth brushes

 

Items to Wear

Socks –adult size needed most

Gloves, mittens, hats  - adult size needed most

Inexpensive bracelets, necklaces, hair accessories

 

Fun Stuff

Crossword or other puzzle books (small enough to fit in stocking)

Playing cards, $1 to $5 gift certificates (local fast food, Walmart/Target), small nerf balls, hacky sack balls

 

And wrapped CANDY
