FOOD DRIVE 2007

for AVON and GRANT Townships

All Girl Scout troops are encouraged to do whatever they can to help feed the hungry in their community.

In an effort to do just that, we are holding a FOOD DRIVE for Avon & Grant Townships on November 10th.

We have done this a few times in the past with great success by having the Troops distribute paper grocery

bags (usually donated by local grocers) to their neighbors a week before the pick-up date with a note describing

the Food Drive and indicating said pick-up date when the Scouts will retrieve the filled bags.

(See attached sample note for neighborhood bags.)

Keep in mind: when sorting through the donated items prior to dropping them off; if YOU would not

serve the item(s) that you are donating to your family due to age or condition of the can then please do

not bring them to the food pantry!

Please note that there are two (2) drop-off locations;
