- Daisy and Brownie training is now available online. See http://www.girlscoutsgcnwi.org/just-for-volunteers/adult-learning-opportunities/online-training/

- If you can take more girls in a 4th grade Woodland troop, please contact Lillia at Lillia Sanders <lsanders@girlscoutsgcnwi.org>.

- Lillia brought the Geico Activity kit for us to try. Beer goggles and texting while driving were demonstrated.

- Discussed Lillia's role in our Vista. Lillia is our advocate, and she is often our strongest voice with Council, so please let her know how things are going.

- A comment was made that the Morrison Day Camp summer program was announced way too late for anyone to attend. Lillia responded that the event was planned late, in response to requests for more events in our area.

- The 20% coupon in the Girl Scout catalog will not be honored at the Vernon Hills Regional Service Center, but a coupon will be made available to us soon.

- If you order something from the Vernon Hills Regional Service Center, Lillia can bring it to the Vista meeting. Please contact Lillia Sanders at sanders@girlscoutsgcnwi.org.

- Attendance cards will be collected at every Vista meeting. The more cards you submit, the greater chance to win prizes.

- Please sign up for the Vista 13 newsletter at http://www.ilcrossroads.org/vistas/13/calendar/

- If your troop would like to lead a flag ceremony at a Vista meeting, please contact Beth Dancy at vista13manager@yahoo.com.

WOODLAND BUILDING USAGE

- Forms were returned at the meeting.

- If you would like to reserve a room in the Woodland buildings, please contact Kathie Rutkowskie at kittyrut@sbcglobal.net.

REGISTRATION

- Pick up your troop's registration packet if you have not already done so.

- A question was asked: Can new girl scouts participate in programs? Answer: Girls should be registered to participate in any troop activities. Please contact your area registrar for more information.

- Council URL is back to the original: https://www2.e-council.net

- Registration patches for those who completed spring registration are not available yet. Stay tuned.

FALL PRODUCT

- Sharyn Wilson is leading the Fall Product program again this year. Thank you!

- Council listed to feedback and made positive changes, including easier internet ordering.

COOKIES

- Meredith is stepping down, so we NEED A COOKIE MANAGER. A team is already formed, we just need a leader. Meredith will help. If you are interested please contact Meredith at daymare@sbcglobal.net.

- If you did Plan B (no incentive, more money) last year and have not received your patches, they are still available. Contact Meredith before they are returned to Council.

- Meredith still has some incentives. Please pick them up before they are returned to Council.

FINANCE

- Margie Ayers announced our Vista 13 budget of approximately $5300.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

- SIgn up for email blasts at http://www.ilcrossroads.org/vistas/13/calendar/.

- There are may programs on the Vista calendar. Please look through the calendar to find events, activities, and trainings for your troop. http://www.ilcrossroads.org/vistas/13/calendar/

- Encourage your troop parents to sign up for the newsletter and check the calendar, as well.

- A question was asked: Why is Council training sometimes different from our Vista standards. Answer: There are still some inconsistencies across our Council, mostly ue to the merging of many geographical locations into one Council. Lillia Sanders encourages all of us to contact her with any questions or concerns, or if you need clarify something that you heard at training.

LARGE EVENTS

- Our Vista is smaller this year than last year, which should make planning large events a little easier.

- The Junior Lock-In for this year will be cancelled if we don't get enough people to plan the event.

- Discussion: What can we do to make event planning easier? Comments: Some people feel left "out of the loop." There needs to be much more advance notice. Events need to be lower cost and closer, not downtown. Parents need to attend and participate.

- Sock Hop: need someone to plan this event. You will have help.

- Check the meeting minutes for information about events that are being planned: http://www.ilcrossroads.org/vistas/13/meetings/

- Discussion will continue at next Vista meeting, so feel free to share your thoughts.

MAILBOXES

- Mailboxes are no longer available. Please come to the Vista meetings or send a representative to pick up patches, paperwork, etc. Items that are not picked up in a timely manner will be returned to Council or destroyed. If you are a leader who runs a patch event, you are responsible for getting patches out to the parents.

- If you think you have material in the mailbox from last year that was never picked up, please contact Kathie Rutkowski at kittyrut@sbcglobal.net

SERVICE PROJECTS

- The troop that was collecting poptops has disbanded, so if your troop is interested in taking over, please contact Beth Dancy at vista13manager@yahoo.com.

- A question was asked: Who do I talk to about doing a service project? Answer: Your troop can do its own service project, but if you need Vista support, please contact Beth Dancy.
