Council Merger – Our council will be merging with others by 2010.  The council name & website will change.  Troop #’s may change since there may be duplicate troop #’s after the merger.  New ID patches will be given at no cost.

New format for troop levels will roll out by 2010.

Family Partnership – Please review the FP sheet included in the Spring Registration materials.  It is a clear way to present it to all the families.  The FP $ stays in the community & is used for educating volunteers, preserving/maintaining GS properties, and funding membership/activities for girls on grant.  Please do not use the grant just to get more “fun” money for your troop.   Donations to FP can be made all year round.  Contributions are tax deductible.  BE SURE TO ASK ALL FAMILIES.

Christian Youth Theater is performing Alice in Wonderland (Alice is in High School) from May 8 – 18th at Zion Christian Arts.  Group of 15 or more is $8/ticket.  Backstage tour w/show is $12/ticket.  Buy tickets at www.cytchicago.org or by calling Anne Higgins at 847-548-1745.  (When buying tickets online, please recommend Collin Higgins when prompted, as he is trying to earn a scholarship.)

Registration – Spring Registration ends June 6th.  Be sure to hand in your Membership Dues Summary w/troop registrations.

Encourage girls to wear their uniforms on meeting days to school.  Leaders too – wear your GS wear more often! It’s a great way to promote Girl Scouts.
