Junior Achievement – JA is now partnering with Girl Scouts.  JA activities/lessons correlate to GS badges from Daisies through Seniors.  Age appropriate packets with all books & paper materials are sent through the mail in about one week once registered.  All patches free.  High school age girls who complete program are eligible for scholarships.  Training is available online or by contacting Bobbi S. 

GS Insurance – Troops need to purchase GS insurance for all non-registered family/friends if participating in any troop meeting or event.

High School Musical on Ice – Money was due 11/8/07.  No more additions.  Elise will let us know if anyone backs out making tickets/ bus space available.

Chicago High School Musical on Ice also available for a GS Day – contact Allstate Arena. 

Military Donations – Linda B. is still accepting cards & any other donations for military overseas.  Make cards for soldiers & blank cards for soldiers to send to send to family/friends.  Make Christmas, Hanukah, Happy Holidays, Kwanza, etc. cards.  She’d like to have everything by Dec. 1^st.  Be sure girls put only 1^st names -- NO last names.  She will meet you to pick up items.  Let her know # of patches needed for girls who participate in this philanthropy. 

Fall Product – pickup is as follows:  N. Chicago on 11/17 at Navy Housing Chapel.  BP/Zion/Winthrop Hrb on 11/18 at Deana’s.  Waukegan at Kristine Strack’s House – she’ll call w/date & time.

Fall Product paper work was a mess!  Please look over your work & be sure everything is accurate & complete for Cookie sales.  Contact your Cookie Rep if you have questions.  Refer to the step-by-step guides for proper procedures/paperwork. 

Cookies – Ready, Set, Go is the Theme.  Selling is from 1/4/08 through 1/27/08.  Incentives & reasons to sell now on order form. 

BP/Zion/WH cookie training is available by contacting Regina I., the date is December 6th at 6:30 at Regina’s Home.   Waukegan training on Monday, December 3^rd  6:30 to 7:30 at St Paul’s.

Cindy W will take site sale requests beginning December 1^st, please e-mail her with businesses and dates.  Site sales are the last week of Feb through March.  Forms must be completed and turned into Cindy for Z/BP/WH and Adrainne E for Waukegan.

Adopt a Highway – our VISTA will be adopting a highway beginning next year.  Troops can take rotations for maintaining it.  Contact Michelle F if you have a road to suggest.

Turkey Club

Any troops who would like to help Turkey Club this year with stocking stuffer or any other thing they want to donate. They have three families. One family has a brownie in it. The stocking stuffer stuff should be new, any other thing you might want to give please do.  The one family has almost nothing
