- December/January - Due to illness on the part of the organizers, the Yule Log was cancelled. Hopefully it will be rescheduled.
- January - The Leader Holiday Party for Leaders and spouses is on Saturday January 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Tropics in Winthrop Harbor.
Mother/Daughter Event to see "The Wizard of Oz" at Gurnee Mills will be held on Saturday, January 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Gurnee Mills. Cost is $6 per girl (includes patch) and $5 for adults. Includes popcorn and soda. There is still time to turn in money and head count in to Michelle F.
- February - World Friendship Day/Thinking Day is scheduled for Saturday, February 24th at Abbott Middle School in Waukegan. E-mail Laura H to let her know which country your troop wants to present. The maximum number of duplicate countries allowed will be limited to two.
A Saturday performance of Wicked is also scheduled for Saturday, February 24 for those who have tickets for that date.
In addition to this, Patricia is asking that two representatives from each community attend the Annual Corporate Meeting which is also on Saturday, February 24. A minimum number of representatives is needed in order to hold the meeting. Breakfast is served. Teen girls are welcome to come. The meeting will held at the Westin Hotel in Wheeling from 8:30 a.m. - Noon.
- March - Ice Skating is being planned by Laticia S, possibly at Rinkside or Kenosha Ice. No new information on this event.
- April - We are still planning a Father/Daughter Dance; details to follow.
Valerie H of North Chicago is looking into a sleepover/lock-in for April. Possible locations include Rinkside in Gurnee, the Fieldhouse at Hinkston Park in Waukegan, the YMCA of Waukegan and the YMCA of Palatine.
No further events were discussed. Several troop leaders expressed their disappointment in the change of lemon cookie for this years product activity, saying customers who loved the Lemon Pastry are unhappy that it has been replaced. Leaders are encouraged to offer samples of the new cookie. The meeting was dismissed shortly after 8:00 p.m.
