Girls
Girl Scouts discover fun, friendship, and the power of girls together!
Do you enjoy?
- Taking trips, even to other parts of the world?
- Exploring and discovering how things work, like how to build a Web site?
- Using your hands and mind in projects like building a bridge to scale?
- Sports or camping outside with nature?
- Meeting new people and learning about your likeness or differences?
Then you should learn more about becoming a Girl Scout at the Girl Scouts - Illinois Crossroads Council where every girl receives opportunities to develop her self-esteem, self-reliance, leadership abilities, and teamwork skills in a way that is both fun and safe.
Any girl who is between the ages of 5 and 17 (or K-12th grade) who agrees to try to live by the Girl Scout Promise and Law can become a Girl Scout.
Adults
If you are:
- A parent desiring quality time with your daughter to build a meaningful, rich relationship with her
- A mentor for girls who is ready for adventurous activities
- An adult who wants to use unique skills, to uncover untapped talents, and to contribute to the community
... there is a place for you at Girl Scouts - Illinois Crossroads Council!
| Girl Scouting is playing an important role in uniting girls, families, and communities across our council. Each of us - whether we’re parents, teachers, young adults, neighbors, or grandparents - in our own unique way can help today’s girls become tomorrow’s leaders. |
Learn more about becoming a volunteer who is personally rewarded when mentoring girls, or a volunteer who wants to share skills and network with other adults.
