Reservation Policies
Thank you for your interest in making
a reservation for a Girl Scout Activity or Camp Site!
Our Reservations Policies are specific to the type of
reservation you wish to make. Please review the details
of our reservation policy for Program
Center Opportunities, Learning Opportunities, Bridging
Ceremonies, or Group Camping.
Reservation
Policy for Program Center Opportunities, Learning Opportunities,
Bridging Ceremonies, or Group Camping
Please note: Unless specifically stated, reservations may only be made by a group leader for their group.
- An online submission of a reservation request does not guarantee the
reservation. Your request will be processed on a first come, first serve basis.
You will be contacted via e-mail or phone to either confirm your reservation or inform you that
the program is filled. Your credit card will NOT be processed until you are contacted and your
reservation is confirmed.
- Reservations will be accepted immediately for all opportunities listed in our Calendar,
unless specifically stated otherwise.
- Reservations are accepted until capacity is reached
or two (2) weeks prior to the event. Some programs
may have earlier deadlines as noted in the program
descriptions. Two (2) weeks prior to the event,
registration numbers will be evaluated. Events not
reaching minimum capacity will be cancelled. Those
registered will be contacted and payment will be refunded.
Check the "This Month" section for any new updates.
- Full payment is expected for all online reservations (with a per participant fee of
$50.00 or less). Event fees over $50.00 per participant require a payment of 50% of
the total balance due. Your credit card will NOT be
processed until your reservation is confirmed.
- If you do not wish to make a reservation online, you can find additional reservation
forms in Panorama. These reservation forms may be submitted by mail, fax, or walked-in
to The Program, Training, Service and Corporate Center in Vernon Hills with payment. Faxed reservations are only accepted with credit
card payment. Telephone reservations cannot be accepted.
- Your reservation will be confirmed within 48 hours of receipt via e-mail or phone call.
Until you receive this confirmation, your reservation is not final.
- For site reservations: if your first reservation choice is full, your second choice
will be addressed. If neither of your choices are available, a reservations clerk will call
you regarding availability.
- Girl/Adult ratios stated in Safety Wise must be followed for all girl events unless
otherwise stated in the program description.
- Please note: Groups may have two camping reservations on the books at a time.
Once a camping
trip is completed, an additional reservation may be booked. Reservations for council
sponsored camping events (i.e. Junior Jamboree Horse Fan) are in
addition to the two camping reservations.
- Groups may reserve sites for one or two nights with a single reservation.
- Full payment is expected with each group camping reservation.
