  Cancellation Policies

Our Cancellation Policies are specific to the type of reservation you have. Please review the details of our cancellation policy for Program Center Opportunities, Learning Opportunities, Bridging Ceremonies, and Group Camping. Also, please review our policy for cancellations or changes initiated by the Illinois Crossroads Council.

Cancellation Policy/Refunds for Program Center Opportunities, Learning Opportunities, Bridging Ceremonies, and Group Camping
If you need to change a reservation, please contact the Member Services Group at (847)573-0500. Please allow 2 weeks notice prior to the event.

  • All cancellations need to be in writing.
  • Cancellations received up to two (2) weeks before an event or four (4) weeks before a group camp date are refundable minus a $10.00 processing fee.
  • Refunds will be processed in the same manner as fees were paid. A council certificate will be issued for refunds of less than $10.00. These certificates can be applied towards shop/trading post purchases or future events. Please note, however, the certificates cannot be used for online reservations or purchases.
  • Cancellations received less than two (2) weeks prior to an event or less than four (4) weeks prior to a group camp date are not refundable.
  • No refund can be issued if you do not attend an event or camp with your group as expenses have been incurred.

Cancellations and Changes Initiated by Illinois Crossroads Council
Leaders/individuals who have a confirmed reservation in an event will be notified of any changes in dates, times or locations by phone or e-mail. These changes will also be included in council communications.

  • Events that do not meet minimum enrollments will be cancelled. Registered participants will be notified by phone in the event of a cancellation.
  • Council-sponsored events may be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Every attempt will be made to contact leaders/individuals scheduled to attend an event by phone of weather-related cancellations.
  • Cancellations initiated by the Council will result in a full refund of fees paid for any groups/individuals enrolled.
